Resolutions, fitness, and organization are common themes; college-football bowls and playoffs extend into January. “Bowl” here is a college postseason tradition, not the Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl belongs to the NFL, with watch parties, snacks, and ad talk; Valentine’s may involve partners, friends, or classrooms. Black History Month is historical and civic context, not a decorative theme.

High-school and college graduation brings school colors, gowns, family photos, and gifts. Memorial Day first commemorates military dead, while also functioning as a summer-opening weekend and retail moment.

Father’s Day, Pride & Juneteenth

Families do not have one form. Pride concerns LGBTQ+ community, history, and public expression. Juneteenth marks a crucial moment in slavery’s end and requires historical context in commercial use.

各州和学区开学日期不同，但文具、服装、宿舍用品、校队与大学搬家共同形成重要消费期。大学橄榄球在八月底至九月初进入开季语境。

School calendars vary, but supplies, apparel, dorm goods, teams, and college move-in create a major buying period. College football enters kickoff language from late August into early September.

Labor Day & football weekends

Labor Day weekend often marks summer’s close. College and professional football enter regular season. Saturdays commonly signal college games; Sundays more often signal the NFL.

Christmas & plural year-end traditions

圣诞树、礼物、灯饰、音乐与家庭聚会同时具有宗教和世俗形式；美国也有光明节、宽扎节及不庆祝宗教节日的家庭。年末语言常围绕礼物、旅行、聚会和总结。

Trees, gifts, lights, music, and gatherings take religious and secular forms. Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and households that observe no religious holiday are also part of the season. Year-end language centers on gifts, travel, parties, and reflection.
